Lady Slim takes home cash and prizes in 10th annual show showcase NYC
The 10th annual superstar Sunday showcase by non-stop entertainment was a huge turn out that was not a disappointing one bit. On a day where the city of New York had at least 10 inches of rain I was grateful and surprised to see all of the artist and fans still show up. There were many artists that showed up from all over. Artist showed up even all the way from Albany NY to Atlanta Georgia.
The show case hosted by Steph Lova was also a media affair promoting her new radio show now on BTF internet radio. There was representation from spate magazine that also performed on the stage as well. Artist Johnny Vega also performed to promote his mixtape on stage to help him promote the mixtape performance was our very own DJ Soja Realz and picture was taken by DJ Rich Inda City who was in the house with his very own camera. Video-graph was done by Block TV Alliance.
There was even an exotic pole dancer to dance to each of the rappers performance. In the end there were many artists but only one stood out to the media group to win the cash and prizes.

In my opinion Lady Slim won because she actually stood up there and made sense about life and actual facts of what’s going on in the world today. I definitely see why lady slim won. “WHAT DID SHE WIN?
Lady Slim took home $500 a bottle of Champagne with a free limousine ride home back to Yonkers with interview and radio air play on Steph Lova's new show. Lady Slim also won full coverage from media group and fee studio time in ruff Ryder’s studio’s as well. Look out for more from slim there is plenty to come from her in the future.

ASK ARIE [I SAID WHAT?!]
Q: Ari,
I was interviewed for a local music mag and some of my words were distorted and weren't completely accurate to what I expressed. What should I do? - F1
A: [Laughing] This isn't that uncommon in entertainment journalism. One important fact to remember is 99.9% of all publications both free and paid subscriptions have a bottom line and that is the dollar sign.
Why you ask? The higher the readership publications have the more companies will want to advertise in them; bringing more revenue. Cha ching!!!
What attracts people/readers? Drama and excitement so if facts for a general interview aren't exciting enough the editor or writer might take the liberty of "spicing" it up a bit. And it's all legal as long as it's kept as open speculation and not slandering someone's character.
My advice's, if you're not happy with the article/write-up contact the writer and inquire why the edits were made, and they may have a worthy answer for you and of course you always have the option of contacting the editor as well.
But, take heed and think. Was the article actually harmful to you? If not and you're just not happy because your words weren't posted verbatim, I would just let it slide and appreciate the free exposure. They could have easily scrapped the entire piece.
You don't want to start burning unnecessary bridges over minor details.
Good Luck!
